Cerinia's Bane: Chapter five    Haze. The whole world around her was not but haze. As fast as she ran, she could not escape it. It was too thick to see her hand in front of her, yet still there was light. A lavender hue that illuminated the mist around her. Then, a twinkle. One bright speck out in the distance. The light intrigued her, she wanted to follow this light, something about it drew her closer. She started towards it, but it did not become closer, she increased her pace, but to no avail. Faster and faster she ran but still the light eluded her.

  The fog was getting thinner now, replaced by an endless expanse of glittering light against the black of space. She
Cerinia's Bane: Chapter 4    The sun was in its setting phase, and the thickness of the canopy wasn't helping. Just ten yards off of the path, it looked to be pitch black. An eerie fog was beginning to form about the path, obscuring her view. Brave as she is, even she would describe it as, "unsettling".

  Something feels angry within this forest. Just relax, Krystal. Remember, the forest has its own emotions. The mist was clearly normal water vapor; she began to feel her fur dampen; yet there was something within the mist that gave it a lavender hue. A loud snap of dry twigs somewhere off in the woods behind her gave her a start. Quickly she turned, ready to defend

The sun was now bright in the sky. The woods however, seemed to mask all but the brightest of light. As she wandered on, she heard things she could not explain. The woods felt wrong, as if she was being watched from all around. Krystal was a rational girl, so for her to feel so vulnerable, even when armed, was something that rarely happened. All she wanted to do was run, to get away from this dark and eerie forest. Giving in to her own instincts, her pace quickened. She ran, and she was right to do so, for on this new planet, there are many things that could do her harm. And some that wanted to.

Question: is the background from a movie?

cause I've seen a scene similar in the movie with the headless horseman.

Krystal slipped. On what? She didn't know because she didn't look. She stood up as quick as she could and sniffed the air. Yes something was there. But what? As soon as she turned around she had an answer.

"Gish len tarak foo sim tovoolo?" A large multi armed beast on two legs said.

"What? I don't speak that language." Krystal said.

"AVOO AMAKALAKLAK!" It called out. The 'what' become visible now. More like him all armed all looking angry or hungry or both? They were hiding in the trees and seemed to move easily regardless of the rough terrain.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to intrude. Maybe we could just overlook this." Krystal said to the one in front of her. He seemed like the leader.

It growled and attempted to swing with its club. Krystal blocked but it was a strong blow that knocked her back. That could have split her pretty head wide open!

Wow, cool story/comment. Is there someone in those woods with her? Or is paranoia setting in? Look for further chapters of Cerinia's Bane for the answers.
